We stopped here as part of a guided tour. The walk into this quaint little area is a real picture in time and is probably worth half the price of the admission. The buildings and houses are still very period and you get the feeling...More

It was a nice museum to go into as you got some idea about what the life was like on the small island in the past prior to the dyke wall.

This museum has a lot of authentic artifacts that depict how life was in Holland year ago. You will see how a typical house was equipped and how the people lived. this only takes about a 1/2 to walk through but is a great stop....More

This museum is very specific to Marken and full of information and artifacts from the area. The local history video was really well done and the local traditional consumes were extremely interesting to view.

Our guide took us into the museum and told us a lot of the same things the ladies that work there would have told but in better english :) It is worth the quick tour to get more details about the island.

The museum is small, but interesting. It gives an overview of the history of the Island, as well as traditional clothing. Unfortunately, there is not much information in english.

This is a small museum in a very picturesque town. It shows a movie about the history of Marken, and photos about the flood of 1916, which killed many people on the island. There are some nice traditional cupboards, some dioramas with dolls in traditional...More
