After seeing all the brick in the larger cities this is comprised mostly of wooded buildings. It was amazing to see that this museum was once home to six families! Go here if you want to see what life was like so many years ago....More

Spent a few Euro to pop in this museum for about 15-20 min. Interesting to watch the 8 min film about the way of life in Marken and see the costumes they used to wear in Marken. Don't need to spent too much time here....More

We stopped here as part of a guided tour. The walk into this quaint little area is a real picture in time and is probably worth half the price of the admission. The buildings and houses are still very period and you get the feeling...More

It was a nice museum to go into as you got some idea about what the life was like on the small island in the past prior to the dyke wall.

This museum is very specific to Marken and full of information and artifacts from the area. The local history video was really well done and the local traditional consumes were extremely interesting to view.

Our guide took us into the museum and told us a lot of the same things the ladies that work there would have told but in better english :) It is worth the quick tour to get more details about the island.

The ladies who work here were really nice and helpful. The directed us to watch the video first - in English - which explained so much about the island and its history. Other than the video, there are just a couple rooms with display that...More

The museum is small, but interesting. It gives an overview of the history of the Island, as well as traditional clothing. Unfortunately, there is not much information in english.
