This was a really fascinating museum which went into the history of bulb-growing (particularly for tulips). The staff were friendly and helpful, it had a good gift shop and a beautiful display of paintings.

This small museum is in the centre of Lisse. It tells you about the history of the Dutch bulb. The cultivating, multiplying and exporting the bulb in the past. A film shows you the coming of tulp in Europe, and in the Netherland in the 17th century. You can find old instruments they used in the past, pictures and also... More

nothing interesting to see, unless you're a specialist otherwise the place is very boring. Better to spend time elsewhere (Keukenhof).

Limited opening (Closed Monday and only open between 13:00 and 17:00 on other days). good exhibits. Description cards in every room informing of exhibits and background. Some DVD presentations in multi language, others only in Dutch which is not helpful to non dutch speakers. well laid out and informative.

And information about flowers in general but especially the tulp in de Bollenstreek. The people here know a lot and it is... More

This small but interesting museum is situated in the center of Lisse. It shows how tulips get planted and how new sorts created. You can see old tools for the treatment of the tulip fields. Speak to the volontares who work there, they will tell you much more about the museum and the cultivation of tulips. In teh museum shop... More
