The museum building is great, and you find a very good selection of art from many local artists, naturally many from Frans Hals..

This museum features a number of paintings by Hals, but also by many other painters. Tempory exhibitions tend to be very attractive, so do regularly check their website.

Loved the movie that explained the significance of Hals. Some lovely works by him here. Other painting and items were also very interesting and fantastic explanations posted that put them in historical context. Half he museum was closed but still had a first rate experience
