Great Neighbourhood

I would definitely not call this an attraction. The flower market is sweet but quite small. We stayed right across the street from it in an airbnb and I absolutely loved the area. It is perfectly central without being too crowded with touristy things. The people in the neighbourhood are beyond friendly and its just an overall great area to stay.

Nice square and playground

The square serves as market venue, as well as soccer pitch and playground. Some nice public art to be found on this square, like a statue of Kokadorus, the Amsterdam merchant. Nice place.

Local Flower Market

It is a square in the centre of Amsterdam, near the Utrechtsestraat. It's nice place to visit especialy on Monday. There is a flower market where locals get fresh flowers or plants and you can also find cheese and organic yummy things. There are some cafes around the square, also a terrace next to the Amstelkerk ( white wooden building on the corner of the square). A playground for the kids is in the middle of the square.

Lovely Square, Flowers

This is a big open square in the middle of one of the prettiest areas of the city with a flower market, an art gallery, kids playing soccer.

A 'hidden gem' of a true authentic Dutch Flower and Plant Market

Forget the "Flowermarket" at Singel. That's a touristy version of what once, over a century ago was a flowermarket. Head to Amstelveld every Monday morning (from 10 am to 2 pm) between Easter and Christmas and see a true local flower market. It's tiny, but you'll love it for sure!

Nice little park

This nice little park is nestled amidst a neighborhood of very expensive canal houses. There is nothing very special here, but you can see locals enjoying what their city has to offer.
