Book the 830pm tour and get the best of both worlds. Awesome informative canal tour by day and after the sun goes down you are treated to an evening light show especially as you pass the red light district. Great tour, layed back, never crowded...More

We had very limited time in Amsterdam and liked the idea of a smaller group for a canal tour. This was definitely our speed: chill, relaxed, and not too serious! Maybe the beautiful weather helped, but Those Dam Boat Guys tour was definitely a highlight...More

I highly recommend this very personal trip around the waterways of Amsterdam. Bring your own food and drink and sit back and listen to your host tell you some history of the city.

These guys are hands down, the best! Knowledgeable, friendly, funny and relaxing! 10/10 would do again! We could have stayed in that boat all day with Dom!

I will try to be brief, at the risk of repeating all the other glowing reviews. We did a 5 p.m. tour and our passengers were a calm & mature lot. Everyone had a blast. One sees Amsterdam and its buildings from a different perspective...More

Cap'n (Vincent) Pino, as he referred to himself, is an enthusiastic guide and storyteller with lots of insight about the city and history of the canals. He delivered all of it in a fun, interactive and laid back manner. In addition to his adult life...More

My husband and I took a tour with the Dam Boat Guys last week. We had a great time. Captain Blake has a background in history and was very informative. The small boat allows for the tour to go through canals that are not accessible...More

Our guide was a local who knew all the standard stuff you'd expect, but lots of quirky other stuff too that made the city come alive for us. Very intelligent guy who played in a band and lived a bohemian life - a perfect non-corporate...More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.

Tough question. It really depends on your disposition and parenting style. Our guides can curse like sailors, but tend to tone it down for families, though an f-bomb has been known to be dropped here and there on public... More

We went during daylight, but I think this would be great any time of day - It's so much fun and very informative - and the canals are just beautiful!
