this windmill is very authenic. you can get amazing pictures at the right sunligh and at night. great view on the canal. right under the windmill is a great brewery. amazing

Next to the river Ij, this well-known windmill is a classic photo opportunity. Well worth a visit especially as there are a couple of nice bars beside it :)

When you go to the Netherlands you have to see a Windmill. it is a part of the Dutch culture and a great photo op. Not a lot to do but you can see demonstrations on what they are used for like mill work etc...

I missed a windmill the first trip to Amsterdam. I got to see this one this trip and I felt rewarded. It is just magnificent technology, something I associated with the Netherlands since childhood. So pleased to finally have seen a windmill.

I didn't go into the windmill, either. I don't think you can. I saw it on the hike I took to the Maritime Museum. I expect the Brewery has a website and you can google that. Wish I could be more helpful.
