- Brian G15 contributionsDefinitely worth the visit if your interested in more than just what's behind the red lighted windowsWalking around the red light district left us with a lot of questions about the history behind the red light district and those who work there. Here we found some answers. Taking a break from wandering and getting a little behind the scenes info made our stay much more worthwhile then just walking around gawking lime the masses.Dear Brian, Thank you so much for the 5 stars! It is lovely to know that you had a great time with us and thank you for recommending us to future visitors. We will be waiting to welcome you back to our beloved city very soon. Have a great day! - Stephen P17 contributionsComplete change of perspective! We visited this attraction at night and found it incredibly interesting, educating and thought provoking. It really helped understand the culture of the city and the people behind the faces in the window. The audio guides were very good and staff were extremely helpful. It was very busy but this did not take away from the experience. Some complained at having to queue outside despite having pre-booked tickets, but this didn’t take long and we didn’t mind at all. Definitely add to your must visit list!Dear guest, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a lovely review- it's much appreciated! We are happy to read that the museum was informative as we are doing our best to make this place as interesting as possible. Really overpriced for what it is, the history that is shared in there is really minimal and I felt that it was more taking the piss out of workers and the profession than sharing there experiences. The case of Annie murder was barely a paragraph. The museum was also jam packed so you were unable to fully take in the displays and could not move at all. They should stagger entries to avoid this. Can find more info on Google. Completely disappointed.

The museum is simply to small.. You are seeing just few rooms and can listed audio.. basically you can see all in 10-15 minutes and there is nothing special to be seen. Not worth the money paid.. better take a walking tour during the day in the red district area...

Very interesting museum with some really funny stories on the audio guide. It was lighthearted and fun, but also serious when it needed to be. We enjoyed it, the only thing that was missing was a bit more information on the history of the industry and the area.

One of the surprising place in my life to visit. Interesting story and amazing world inside. A fascinating and great world of the red light representing sex and prostitution.

At 12.5 euro per person at this point of time, I feel that this is good value for money. The museum is insightful and can replace a tour guide who will tell you the same trivia. Here you have audio guides as you go into the actual rooms where prostitute advertise themselves and serve the clients.
You get insightful information in the history, the economics and even the tax system for these individuals that brace the oldest profession in the world. You can even go to the red light window and see the world outside, putting yourself in the position of these ladies. Factual information, naughty stuff, roleplay, confessions and interesting souvenirs blend together in this museum. The much talked about confession wall is worth a look. Don't miss this one!

Took my boyfriend here on our last day, we both enjoyed it even though I had been before!
Woman at the front was very lovely, walk around didn’t take long either. Wasn’t too bothered by price of the ticket as it’s something you must do when visiting Amsterdam!

This was my favourite attraction in Amsterdam, it was so informative & eye opening to the reality of prostitution in Amsterdam. We experienced a power cut whilst walking through, the staff were super hospitable & issued us a ticket to re-visit later on when the power was back up. The best bit was the confessions wall at the end of the tour.
