I must admit I didn't expect much from this museum. I don't really care about pipes or smoking, I only went in because it was on my IAmsterdam card and I didn't want to waste a free visit. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. The pleasant...More

While I'm not a smoker, I very much enjoyed the tour of this unique pipe museum. They have smoking pipes from all over the world, from ancient to modern. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and are passionate and interested in the subject area. Hearing...More

Great that you admit that you didn't expect much - and that you experienced a rich collection. This is what happens with a museum that is unique in the world. Nowhere you get the chance to see a pipe collection, so logically nobody knows what...More

The Amsterdam Pipe Museum - what a little gem! Situated in the collector's home. A vast array of pipes - fascinating even for non-smokers! The tour was extremely informative. An amazing history lesson and well worth visiting. Thank you very much

This must be one of the largest collection of pipes and paraphernalia there is. Nicely displayed and with a tour by a enthusiastic, friendly and very knowledgeable gentleman. I suspect he knows almost anything of the pipes on display. This museum is very well recommended.More
