M and I really enjoyed the Magnum photography exhibition, showing the agency's work from the 1930s up to date. We also had a quick lunch in the café which was nice too. We will definitely go back to FOAM on our next visit.

From contact sheets to meta photography art, this place has a lot of interesting things. Definitely worth a visit for photographers and non-photographers alike.

The place is bigger than it seems. I loved their Magnum Contact Sheets exhibition. I wish I could have bought the book, but it would not be doable. They had a diverse group of artists, and also artwork of different mediums. Definitely worth going if you love photography.

If you have the iAmsterdam card I think this museum is worth a visit. The museum is small, but houses a number of historically significant images/photos. I took my time walking through the museum, but I was still able to see the museum in about an hour. Its somewhat off the beaten tourist path, but easily accessible by tram.

In the centre of the city but still it seems somehow overlooked by most people, Foam is a little gem of a museum. Reading previous reviews I was expecting it to be really tiny, but while small the exhibition space has a lot to offer. There were three different exhibitions when I was there, the most striking one being the... More

Ground floor stuff was a load of pretentious twaddle. Upstairs to the historical prints was really good. The original print of the lone protester and the tanks in Tienanmen Sqr was brilliant. The prints for sale were not inspiring (although the prices were hilarious) worth doing on an iAmsterdam card but would have felt grieved if I had paid real... More

At Eur10 per person it's over priced for what you get -- mostly photojournalists contact sheets. There's not much value for money here! We were expecting exhibits that show many different photographic art. We were very disappointed. The entire place lacked creativity and thought - an ensemble of past photojournalists work that really weren't that good. The final floor was... More

Good museum. Very quit but you can really see the thing around you. Most of the time they got a good exhibition and there is a good service.

We are so lucky that we visited there when they're showing exhibiting "Magnum Contacts Sheets". It was amazing. This is the place to go if you appreciate photography as art.
