The visiting hours are very limited. The interior is average for the typical church in Europe, neither grand in size or décor. But it is significant because it is apparently the only Catholic church in the city now.

We were glad to find this Church in Amsterdam. We were Filipinos attending a Spanish Mass in the Netherlands. It was also a beautiful Church inside, but all in all - we were just glad to hear Mass in a solemn space.

My wife and I went to Amsterdam for a 5-day honeymoon. This historic grand Catholic church was filled with an elaborate interior featuring many frescoes & stained-glass windows.

We were lucky to visit when St Nicholas Basilica was open. This major Roman Catholic Cathedral is stunning and we'll worth a visit.

When you exit Amsterdam Centraal (the largest railway station in Amsterdam) via the main entrance, walk straight ahead and you will see this beautiful basilica to the left. 'St Nicholas inside the Walls' - the Basilica of St Nicholas is, for me, a hidden gem...More

From the outside it looks big, but a little dirty. Not helped by the constant traffic and urban landscape (within view of the huge railway station). Inside it had a good selection of artwork, and is highly decorated. There was a service about to happen...More

We were in Amsterdam for 4 days and the Cathedral was always closed and locked up so I made a point of checking it out on a Sunday morning between services. There were signs up that I don't know if they were just not wanting...More

Attended Sunday Mass which was said in Dutch. People very friendly and the Priest welcomed all visitors. A nice way to start the week.

Good architecture, nice place to take photos. Nothing different comparing to other churches in Europe.

To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the
Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its
saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to
view some of the city’s most picturesque canals,
historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples
of traditional local architecture – not to mention
Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist
temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some

Sorry for not answering sooner but I thought they might offer mass in English and after checking my hunch was confirmed. How about Tuesday's at 12.30.
