This area is just 7 mins walk from Amsterdam Centraal Station. The red light district is at the intersection of red light district and chinatown. It is eye opener to see this area.

Interesting and scenic and probably one of the first things that comes to mind when you think of Amsterdam, the canals are great for long scenic walks. Take in the beautiful buildings, the landmark bridges and the thousands of bicycles!

On a Road Scholar trip, we walked across all five canals while having a guided architectural tour and then went back over them on our own enjoying the shops.
