Well known street in Amsterdam! Really lovely one with a canal, bridges and tries - all together look super pretty - typical Amsterdam :) You can find here a lot of bars, where you can enjoy the view on the canal.

Our hotel was located on this canal which is where the wealthy live. The mayor of Amsterdam lives here as well as many wealthy people. One of the prettiest canals to walk along.

The canals are the reason Amsterdam is such a wonderful and elegant city to visit, and they don't disappoint. Grab a coffee, beer or a bite at one of the many restaurants/cafes along the canal and soak in the beautiful view.

Keizergracht and Herengracht will give you a very good idea about how the Netherlands was in their days of glory. You will really enjoy those areas walking around or taking a small boat (do not take the big touristic boats).

This is the "Gentleman's Canal". There is a famous painting in the Rijks Museum on early Amsterdam, entitled "The Golden Bend", which shows the houses along this canal. Our hotel was on this canal and we vastly preferred the neighborhood to the hustle/bustle around Dam...More

I walked along Singel first assuming it would be the best as it is the most central. Herrengracht is much much better! Do watch for fast and irate cyclists... remember they live here.

Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the
Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get
lost in a moody meander and a key component to any
