Stadium is very easy to get to via public transport and train station is right outside the stadium. Tour guide was very knowledgeable with some great information about Ajax and the stadium. Answered any questions too. Only disappointment on the tour was not being able to see the pitch as it was covered up for a concert but I knew about this in advance. Club shop is also very good and because we booked tickets in advance they gave a discount on items bought in the shop.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 November 2023
- Conqueror_NIBelfast, United Kingdom37 contributionsVIP tourVIP tour was nice. Tour guide spoke in English, answered questions, took photographs at different stages of the tour. Enjoyable experience even for non-football fans. Pleasant staff.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 January 2024
- Jennifer T11 contributionsQuicker than expectedSmaller than expected so didn't take long...bar on site was nice! Staff very knowledgeable, we didn't book a guided tour but still made time to talk to us. 10% discount in shop with ticket doesn't mean much as so much on sale and discount not available with sale goodsVisited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 February 2024
- David Alberto R8 contributionsBest tour guide in the NetherlandsGetting to the entrance to buy the tickets and start the tour was bit of an adventure but we found it. One tour guide on Friday 21st of June took it upon himself to add to what would have been a very basic experience and he made it memorable. Highly recommended.Visited June 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 21 June 2024
- Ellie GBirmingham, United Kingdom41 contributionsIconic StadiumWe always go to tour football stadiums whenever we visit another country and have been looking forward to this one for years. We were advised that we would not be able to go onto the pitch which we though was completely understandable but when we got to the pitch we realised that this was because there was some sort of game show being filmed. The rest of the tour was very quick but still an amazing stadium and I'm glad we've been to see it in person.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 July 2024
- Pjcb9Haverhill, United Kingdom66 contributionsTourWas in Amsterdam for weekend and was hoping that. Ajax would be at home but they weren’t. So decided to book a tour stadium. You might be better off to get an Uber to the ground. The tour lasted almost 2 hours. You got to see everything. Dressing rooms, boxes sit in dug out, press room. The tour guide we had Archie was really good and knew his stuff a very good knowledge.Visited August 2024Travelled soloWritten 18 August 2024

Parked here and took the Metro and Tram to downtown Amsterdam.
Purchased parking and metro tickets from a machine in the parking complex prior to using the public transport. Ok so far.
On the way OUT later in the day however the vending machine kept indicating that the parking card was canceled and thus we were unable to pay (cashless system). Also the machine at the exit gate did not accept the credit card.
Had to back up, return to the original vending machine start a whole new transaction which then worked. Never saw any attendant anywhere at any time. Obviously did not get the discounted rate advertised, so be forwarned

The stadium is situated some distance from the center of the city, but for football fans it is worth the detour.
The tour includes seeing the dressing rooms of both teams, the pitch, the press room and other central functions of the place, and in addition to seeing the impressive arena, the tour guides also offer interesting facts about the Ajax history. Highly recommended.

Went to see the Holland V Ireland game. The handling of the away Irish fans was disgraceful. A bottleneck tru security with only 2 people checking fanss entering, further exacerbated by 2 gates for entry. Flags taken from Irish fans who are known for not causing any trouble at games. Pre game fans redirected on a long route to the away section..very poor organisation a dismal experience.

My 16 year old son and I visited. We booked a guided tour. Our tour guide was brilliant. He had phenomenal knowledge of football, and had incredible stories. It was great to hear a loyal Ajax fan getting his dream job, and his passion shone through I know little about football and still really enjoyed myself. The shop is expensive as you would expect but you do get 10% from going on the tour.

My son is a huge Ajax fan so this trip was long anticipated. The first two parts of the tour (away changing room & players tunnel/ pitch side) are supported by a bi-lingual guide, but from then on it’s self guided. This meant the tour was quite short (around 40 Minutes) but also meant we could spend longer in some areas & less in those we were not as interested in. The club shop is also worth a visit.

Our family of 4 enjoyed the 75 minute Guided Full Experience Tour. Our tour guide was friendly and informative and in each area we visited, we had plenty of time for self-exploration and picture taking. The VR experience part was disappointing, as you were given a cardboard box to put your cell phone in (note that a larger phone and/or a bulky case may not fit), and this was not really part of the tour itself anyway. You then had to carry this around with you. We were told that the VR could be done from home, and we did try it 2 weeks later, but the picture orientation was opposite the cardboard box orientation – just did not work well. We did visit the arena during summer concert season, so could not see the pitch as it was covered with metal plates. After the guided part of the tour, you can explore the trophy room/museum. The gift shop had a wide variety of items. Easy to get to by metro train from Amsterdam Centraal Station – no connections and entrance was a five-minute walk from station. There are several bars, stores, restaurants and a movie theater in the area between the train station and stadium.

Our tour guide was genuinely incredible, the way he so easily accommodated for both the English and Dutch speaking members of the group was so impressive. It was clear that he had a passion for Ajax and new so much about worldwide football in general. It was a really well informed tour, as someone who isn't a football fan myself I only went as my boyfriends birthday present and I still found myself enjoying every second. Just a well run - overall nice place to be!

Went on the stadium tour while in Holland on a football tournament trip with my son's football team who are all 12/13 years old. In all honesty the tour was good and very interesting, but when we had finished the tour - and all the boys were desperate to go to the Ajax shop to buy replica shirts and souvenirs - we arrived at the shop to find the shop about to close at 4.55pm. I explained to the guy hoovering up just inside the door that wee had just finished the tour and could we have 5 minutes for the boys to get shirts and souvenirs. We were told very abruptly that the tour was nothing to do with the shop and that they were closed. So we were left with 15 very disappointed boys after what had been a great experience for them. It left a very bitter taste in the mouths of all the parents there and I'd estimate that the stadium shop lost out on at least 1000 euros. I am staggered that the stadium shop doesn't remain open until after the last tour has ended, so people who have spent 90 minutes getting hopped up on everything Ajax can at least buy a momento of their visit.

Very interesting the tour guide was kind and respectful . There were some great facts
and sites. You could clearly see that some great players had played there including :
Ronaldo, Imbrahmovic , Rooney, Aguero . (written by T, a 9 year-old Manchester City supporter and now also a part time Ajax follower)

How do i get tickets for a football match in April 2025
Written 29 June 2024
What size bags are allowed for concerts? Do they need to be clear stadium bags?
Written 20 June 2024
There are two websites where i can book a tour of the stadium. Either on the website of Ajax itself or on the Johan Cruyff Arena website. On the ajax website its cheaper. Is there any difference and from which website should I book?
Written 20 June 2023
hi, i got tickets to the coldplay concert, but the entrance is at 8:30pm, can i arrive 1 hour later? do they let you enter? is there any tolerance?
Written 16 June 2023
Hello. How did the concert go? I have a concert in this stadium in July. Just wondering about how comfortable it is and is access into and leaving the stadium safe and fast? Thanks

What would be the best way to get back to downtown Amsterdam after the Coldplay Concert on Saturday July 15th?
Written 1 May 2023
Is there a facility to store your luggage if you want to visit before going to the airport?
Written 21 July 2020
I am not really sure. Certainly on match days all bags are banned from the stadium. For a tour, you can probably take in a rucksack, bu large items of luggage would probably be regarded as a security risk if they needed to be stirred in a room..

Hi,If i have the iamsterdam city card, how do i go about booking this tour? Do i need to book earlier or just walk-in?
Written 8 October 2019
Hi, you will all the information for this tour on the Johan Cruijff Arena website under "stadium tour".
Should you not find an answer to your question, I recommend that you send an email to the Arena's contact address found on it's website.
Good luck and enjoy your visit.

Hi. Can I only purchase tickets online for the stadium tour? I am going to be there for July 20th and it says sold out. Can I purchase a ticket at the stadium or am I out of luck?
Written 8 July 2019
Jjust turn up and try to purchase one at the reception, the train stops about 5 minutes away by foot and another comes along every ten minutes or so, if you can't get a ticket you'd have only lost about an hour of your day trying , also there's a good burger restaurant and bar literally two minutes away so have a bit of food a drink then head on back Centraal station and enjoy Amsterdam.

Hola. Voy en julio al Amsterdam Arena. Las visitas sólo son en inglés y neerlandès o existen audioguías en otro idioma? Por otra parte hay paradas de taxi cerca? Desde ya muchas gracias.
Written 28 May 2019
Hallo,
das mit den Audioguides weiß ich nicht. Die Amsterdam Arena ist gut an das Verkehrsnetz angeschlossen.
Viele Grüße und viel Spaß
