Spent over 3 hours here. Each floor had something to catch my son’s attention. Whether it be the bubbles, Rube Goldberg demo, the mechanical arm, optical illusion room and more. Definitely recommend

A wonderful place to go for children (I would say 6+) and for the inner child. Spent hours here and had a lot of fun. Some of the exhibits are fascinating. The lab is brilliant - you can sit and follow the instructions to complete your own experiment(s). I learnt loads!

Visited Nemo science Museum with my family, 6 year old son. In 2018 (picked 2022 in next section as I am writing 4 years later). We thoroughly enjoyed the visit, so many exciting science experiments and interesting details. Will keep the kids occupied for good few hours. The illusion room was a highlight for us. You walk accross the room, big looks small, and small looks very big :)

Looking from the outside, the building is impressive, looks like a huge ship, and the view from the top is nice. Inside it was disappointing. Lots of artificial light, lots of stuff happenning in a small place, and crowded as well. Looks like the museum is designed for the Dutch speakers. You had to read the small text to understand what the exhibits are all about. It was hard to read in English and therefore orient onself. And consequently, we missed out the educational part. But we did like the hands-on exhibits of building dams and tall structures.

This was probably one of the best children's science centers we've been in. We got there early on a weekday and it was empty for the 10am spot. Kid had plenty of time to play on his own and go through the higher floors. Bilingual exhibits and the show was terrific to watch with the chain reaction.

We visited hoping to learn something’s and get indoors in cold weather for a bit. We have been to other science museums that had more information and adult applicable exhibits, but this was definitely catered to kids. It was also so over crowded you couldn’t really do many of the activities without waiting a long time. We ended up pretty disappointed. It was a cool building but wouldn’t bother going if you don’t have kids, and avoid peek hours if you do bring kids!

I went with my husband, it was just okay for us. But I would highly recommend a visit for families with children. So much to see and do, so many kids there were having so much fun. The rooftop is very nice, however you can access it from a ramp outside without paying admission.

An amazing experience, I came with my 11-year-old son. There are several floors. The floor that my child enjoyed the most and also stayed there the longest is the floor with the science games. Simply amazing. The other floors are also spectacular. We've been through them all. In the last room we were already tired. We were there for two and a half hours. Simply a fascinating experience for adults too.

Went here on my last day in this fabulous city. Nice roof top bar with a varied menu. Staff are fantastic and very welcoming, didn’t have time to visit the science museum on the ground floor but will head there when I next return!

If you visit Amsterdam with kids, you will read the recommendation to visit Nemo. As we love Science Museums I was looking forward to this one, although it is pricey. Unfortunately I was very disappointed! It was sooooo overcrowded and so loud. A lot of the installations are with screens, but there are not a lot explanations. If you want to have your kids entertained, definitely go! If you want to explore Science, I wouldn’t recommend it. Btw - the Rijksmuseum has such a great “Family quest” and also an exhibition for kids where kids can be scientist. This was sooooo much better 🙌🏻
