Enjoy a magnificent view over Amsterdam The creative mind behind NEMO, build in 1997, is Italian architect Renzo Piano. One of the best in Europe, if not the best! Great hands-on activities for kids of all ages. The top floor is devoted to understanding puberty and sexuality and it is done in a totally humorous and respectful way. This area can be skipped, but it is a great non-awkward way to start those awkward conversations! The (publicly accessible) roof... More

So many activities to stimulate all minds. We went on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't very busy. Plenty of interactive exhibits which will bring out the curious child in anyone.

Awesome place for all ages. I felt like a kid again. You can easily spend the whole day there playing with all those things and devices. And a great terrace at the top, in summer it would be really nice to sit there to have a break before going back in to explore further.

Lots of fun activities for younger children. It lacks explanations a bit, or at least, these are quite difficult to grasp for younger public. The lab is our favourite. Free with museum jaarkaart. Great shop. Nice to combine with voc ship and library. Great water play area in restaurant for hot summer days, with super views.

Really brilliant science centre for children. My kids, aged 8 and 11, had an absolute ball. We were very happy for 2-3 hours, going through almost all the exhibits. There were demonstrations of a "chain reaction"/Rube Goldberg machine a few times a day, which was quite exciting. I probably wouldn't recommend it to adults without kids -- it's really a... More

Billed as the science and technology museum we had high expectations, and the Renzo Piano architecture certainly gave promise but the truth is that while there are some exhibits of interest to adults, this museum is massively orientated to multiple floors of fascinating and engaging interactive displays and exhibits.....for kids!! great if you have kids and highly recommended....but for adults...
