So enjoyable to float down or walk the canals. So many interesting sights to see both on and off the water.

One of many to explore and enjoy what Amsterdam canals have to offer, friendly people, beautiful architect, just be careful of the bike paths and bikers, listen for that bell rings..

Another one of those amazing grachten neighbarhoods. One can not stop marvelling at the collective beauty of Amsterdam despite all the crowds.

A walk along the canal gives me the perfect setting to clear my mind. The boats move along and glide by leaving me elated and waiting for the next one to approach. I just love these boats.

This is a nice place to see while cruising on a canal boat through the old city, many boats converted to houseboats along the canal I believe there are over 2000 permits for permanent houseboats along the canal route

Yet another interesting canal and area of Amsterdam this is very scenic and pretty with lots of house boats. Best to view by canal cruising

This area is a nice one to walk around, it's calming and the traffic through the canals in this area is regular but not rush hour. The canals are wider so there are lovely houseboats which are actually barges with large homes built onto them...More

This tour shows you how this trading city made a living by leveraging the canal infrastructure. You learn how they taxed homes by their width and hence the houses are narrow but tall and you see how they transported and loaded goods into the buildings...More

Awesome Canals are a great testimony of this historic city of Amsterdam which has been a designated UNESCO World heritage sites. The scenes are just amazing full of coloured houses, shops, cruises moving around the canals. Just awesome.

We loved this part of Amsterdam, it is so cosmopolitan and offers great cafes, view of the canal and if you are game enough, Cannibis ice cream. Did enjoy the canal boat

Both the canal and the street wrap around the city center on the west, south and east. The Jordaan, where we stayed for a week on house boat in mMay, is in the west, Great neighborhood location.

Prinsensgracht is one of the longest "gracht". You can hire a bike to see as much as possible.

A great walking city. Very safe. My teenage nieces walks on their own even deep in the night. If pickpocketting reaches the evening news, it says enough about the city. Have fun in amazing amsterdam.
