Neighbourhood: Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Nice neighborhood offering quality shopping experience in typical Amsterdam old town setting. Good selection of art, antique, vintage shops, as well as pubs and restaurants. Makes for nice strolling and browsing.

You've been looking or all those beautiful streets, fantastic shops and typical Amsterdam canals, then this is the place! This is the Van Der Valk of Amsterdam, and if you understand my reference then you'll love it here. Don't go to Amsterdam without saying this area a visit. Window shop or dive into one of the cafes.

This was my 11th trip to Amsterdam. I visited most areas/neighborhoods and I was very comfortable in the City. This was the first time we stayed in this area so we had the opportunity to explore. I loved it! There are so many wonderful things to do here! It is also as quiet as I wanted in our Canal House apartment! We walked everywhere, but the tram stop was close. We will be here next time!

This area is famous with the antique shops. But it offers you more, such as a nice walk along the street, beautiful view of the water, galleries, restaurant and many other.

We walked through a few streets in this area but some are better than others. The place s full of really lovely shops and you can go nuts shopping! Antique shops, jewellery shops, and more antique shops! There are galleries galore! And the famous museums are not far away, only a few minutes' walk: The Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum, the Stedelijk, Concert Hall, Diamant museum, and others. After you are done with your window shopping, or real shopping you are free to do something else! Visit a park, or go to a cafe or restaurant. There are plenty of them around too.

Really multiple art and antiquities on display for the retail trade from the expensive real deal to nice basic ornamental art. Shop owners are friendly and welcoming. Big crowds as everywhere.

Spiegelkwartier offers a range of antique shops and art galleries, I really enjoyed the passion the retailers have for their antiques and the wide range of prices.
