My husband and I were wandering the whole afternoon and when we saw the Station, it already got dark. Inside, there were people everywhere, talking, laughing, buying tickets, rushing for the trains; while with some refreshing coldness outside, the sky was bright blue and blackish....More

I did not technically visit Central Station, but I slowly passed by on a canal cruise, and took photos. It is a spectacular structure that will interest architectural officianados. Next time, I want to tour inside the facility.

I had a massive panic attack at the station as I was trying to leave for Paris, and the the security staff set the bar on kindness, patience and compassion. The paramedics were just as courteous and professional. 5/4 stars, would have a panic attack...More

What a Beautiful Station! It has it all! Lovely shops, restaurants, Bicycle Garages Metro hubs and boats docking from all over the world. I came into Amsterdam on a Viking Ship and left on a high speed Thalys Train all from Centraal Station.

Excellent station. Had a good information point with friendly staff. The buses run from upstairs. We used the lockers to store our luggage 10 euros for the day. There are also numerous shops there, very useful to have a chemist for those items you forget.

Busy like London but clean and well sign posted. Very impressive building from the outside. Toilets cost 50cents to use but if you keep tickets you can buy discounted toiletries from a vending machines in the toilets.

Reminded us of St Pancras in London. Stunning architecture, didn't mind arriving early for our return trip as we could spend time looking at the building. Worth a visit even if you're not travelling by train.

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
