Visit the hiding place where Anne Frank wrote her diary during the Second World War. From 9 AM to 3:30 PM the museum is only open to visitors with an online ticket for a particular timeslot. Tickets are made available on the website two months in advance. The Anne Frank House is a small museum with limited capacity. The demand for tickets is far greater than the number available. If you are unable to buy an online ticket, you can always from 3:30 PM until closing time visit the museum and buy a ticket at the museum entrance.

If you're not familiar with Anne Frank (my history isn't the greatest) or you're a keen history buff then a visit to the Anne Frank House while in Amsterdam is a must. We took about 2 hours to make our way around the house and...More

It's amazing walking through this attraction, after having to study the book at high school. Be prepared for a long wait to get in. Opens at 9am, was there at 8.30am and the line was more than 200people. Entered at about 9.45am. Allow at least...More

You are familiar with the story but visiting the house really allows you to get a sense of what this family and Anne experienced. It is hard to imagine the number of people living in such a small place, never going outside and almost making...More

Visiting the Anne Frank House was a good experience. It's a little surreal to actually see the house in person after reading her diary in school years ago. Also heartbreaking in a way. I'd definitely recommend buying tickets in advance and booking a time slot...More

Very cool experience. Something anyone visiting Amsterdam should do. Go in the late evening near closing time to avoid waiting in a long line up. Went at 21:00 (closes at 22:00) and didn't even have to wait in line. Also avoid the crowd inside of...More

Decided to go find it one evening before planned visit next morning. When we got there the queue was really small so made the most of it and went in. I would recommend doing this as it wasn't too busy. In all honesty after leaving...More

Queues around the block for this museum. Pre book your times ticket and you also then are given an excellent introduction to the story of the Frank family. Very humbling when you think what we moan about these days. Out of respect to Anne and...More
