This is no exaggeration. Not just a collection of paintings, this museum brings this troubled genius to life with beautifully presented exhibits, the best museum audio guide we have ever, bar none, used. Timed tickets are essential and can, and should be purchased online well...More

This is the preeminent collection of Van Gogh. Not only do you see his art in paint and pencil, but see his letters and learn all about his life and tragic death. Unfortunately, Starry Night is not part of this collection.

This place does such a good job of telling Van Gogh's story as an artist in additional to displaying some of his best work. Architecture is beautiful and inviting, layout of the exhibit is easy and accessible. Very crowded but still fairly easy to see...More

We decided to visit the museum as an afterthought. We purchased tickets on line to make it easier and it did make things easier. Big line ups at times and several levels to visit. If you are an art lover, it is worth the visit.

Book in advance. Or book online and go get a coffee! Very airy modern wellnlsid out but sadly no starry night. It's at MOMA.

First of all the exhibits are exceptional and Van Gogh was a rare individual who could express incredible depth in his paintings. Sad his life was in so much turmoil and he only sold 1 or 2 paintings in his life. This is where I...More

Get tickets online to avoid the wait. The coffee shop inside was so-so. The gift shop was great. Expect to spend 2-3 hours. It was crowded when we were there. I normally dislike crowds, the art was worth it. Other museums are nearby so you...More
