Lots of cafes/restaurants/bars around this area. Also you can find the theater. There is always a lot going on around this area and can be quite noisy.

Tonnes of shops around this area, bars, restaurant, shopping outlets, etc... At night the bars are filled with people and it is definitely a lively district. Transportation are super convenient as tram stops just right at the square.
