This spot was a good people watch area. You will see all kinds of different people doing their own thing. I met some nice and not so nice individuals. Definitely would go again.

Dam Square is really just a large square. The Royal Palace is nearby. Depending on when you go there are street performers

Very crowded with tourists and many shops and cafes. Nice street performances and you can also have a visit to the Royal Palace. The history and architecture are amazing in this area. You can easily reach it by tram.

You will end up here no matter what and you want to anyway. This is Amsterdam. This is what people see when they think of this city. There’s shopping, museums, the palace, and if you’re lucky enough you might catch the World Press Photo Exhibit.

Dam square is less than 1km from Central station. Lots of shops, restaurants, tram stops around the square. This is a must visit and perfect photo oppertunity with beautiful old European buildings all around you. Enjoy the sites.

At the Dam Square you will see everything. It is designed for people watching with the many bars and restaurants lining the perimeter. The various actors, magicians and entertainers are good for families.

Dam Square is bustling with tourists but the walk around the by lanes is quite good. There are a lot of eateries and old architectural buildings to see and enjoy.
