We had a day trip to the windmills and the town of Goat Horn. Sounds rough but it was the sweetest little village you will ever see. Ibriham was our guide and an absolute master at orchestrating an experience of a lifetime. We knocked so much of our Netherlands bucket list, were surprised with fun stops along the tour and learned so much about this beautiful country. The boat tour at Goat Horn was especially memorable as you travel through the canals and into a gorgeous swan filled lake by the village. You will absolutely LOVE this tour so DO NOT MISS IT!

We spent a beautiful day, managing to see and enjoy all the main attractions! At Zaanse Schans we witnessed the creation of a clog and the explanation on the production of cheese. We then climbed a mill, ending the visit with a hot chocolate prepared by us. We could visit Gieethorn through a boat ride and then have some free time to explore this amazing fairytale place on our own. Our guide, Jay, accompanied us to the places telling us many interesting things in an engaging and passionate way, he was considerate and kind throughout the trip, surprising us even with a visit to a local fruit and vegetable that made us taste the delicious products. We were absolutely satisfied and recommend this wonderful experience to everyone!

Our guide Said was friendly and knowledgeable. He got our small group into the van and safely to the windmills in the pouring rain. We had plenty of time there to visit the cheese making display and tour the windmills extensively. After that we took a drive to the canal town of Giethoon( it was long enough for a nice nap). Once on the boat we had tea and stroopfwafle to compliment our peaceful cruise. Also grabbed frites and sat out in the (by then) afternoon sun. On our way back we did a little detour and stopped at a farm to sample the apples.
A really nice day and a great time.

Giethoorn is one of a kind, cute little village. A day trip you must do. Left around 10.30 and came back to Amsterdam about 6.30. The company delivered as promised, no secret charges. Said, our tour guide, was friendly, helpful, great sense of humour and very informative about the history of Netherlands, Amsterdam and Giethoorn too.

Giethoorn is called the Venice of the North, but unlike the real Venice Giethoorn is very peaceful and quiet. It feels like you're in a fairytale village where time has stopped. There are many old farms and cute bridges.

Our tourguide Said picked us up near the central station of Amsterdam. He entertained us from the first moment. On the way to Giethoorn we made a stop to take pictures of the largest lake of the Netherlands. Once we arrived in Giethoorn we took a one hour boat tour and afterwards we had some free time to wander around. Said doesn't only know Giethoorn, but is also very knowledgeable on the city of Amsterdam. He gave us many tips on what to do and where to eat while staying in Amsterdam. Thanks for the wonderful experience Said!

Tour was amazing. Our driver Jay was very knowledgeable about all the different sites. Had great ideas and recommendations for pictures and food. Spoke English very well+ a few other languages. Plenty time at each stop for bathroom breaks and food. Vehicle was air conditioned, clean and very comfortable.
It’s people like Jay, who take pride and passion with their work that make any vacation memorable. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Wooden Shoe Workshop of Zaanse Schans: Dutch clogs are a type of footwear made in part or completely from wood. Clogs, or wooden shoes, are known as klompen in Dutch, and they have been used in the Netherlands since medieval times. A good place to both understand Dutch wooden shoes history and buy their homemade shoes. Plenty of choices you can pick here. A free museum, you can also see a live demonstration of how they make the clogs (in English). There's also a shop inside where you can buy clogs or other souvenirs . The visit took about 30 minutes. Fantastic experience. When you enter the shop you will see displays of old machinery and half made shoes Then you can see different types of clogs.
