Lovely old church. The stained glass windows are amazing to see. Great to walk around the outside of the church to see all the sculptures on the outside. We also were fortunate enough to climb on top to see the gargoyles but you can only do that a few months of the year.

This cathedral was very interesting in its architecture and it's setting. I was able to visit when they still had the Nativity scene that is quite unique.

Den Bosh is a beautiful small city ,one of my favorites in The Netherlands, we visited the Cathedral and we were very pleased ,the entrance is free, unless, you want to pay for a tour, it was not very busy during this time of the year, the details of the Cathedral are beautiful, I recommend look around the outside is... The interior is very impressive. Craftsmanship in abundance is in evidence. You find your eyes being drawn from one item of note to another over and over. The windows, the ceiling, the altar area, the walls and support structure tell a story of detail and skill that could not be undertaken in modern times as the cost would be prohibitive.... More

And it has some 3000 gargoyles that look exactly as if they'd jumped out of a painting by Jheronimus Bosch!

There is a huge Christmas stall with everything life sized. The Cathedral is cold in the winter so dress warmly. In a side altar are statues of the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus and it is said she has granted miracles. Hundreds of candles are burning there and thousands (!!) of fresh roses brought in daily by Visitors adorned the... More

I've been there so many times . it is just such a beautiful place. The gothic style with all the little ornaments makes that you keep on looking.
