The Aa kerk is a rather large former church, which is currently closed to the public. The tower is an easily identifiable landmark in Groningen. There is little green space near the front of the church, which are great for a rest or eating lunch.
We were staying in the area and had to navigate the city without data/WiFi. The church served as an important landmark during the visit.

A nice building from the outside and also from the inside.
Groningen is not the wildest place to visit but this church was worthwhile as it gave you background information of the town's history as well.
Worth a visit if you are in town.
Lovely old church with frequent exhibitions such as World Press Photo and The Night of Science in Groningen. Interesting shop attached with specialises in products which have been on the market for 100 years or more.
