Ooh wat a beauty in this great town of Nimwegen. Nijmegen is 2010 years old - imagine and it has one of the Netherlands' best cafés with great beer menu, whiskey menu and other things you can enjoy. Authentic Dutch - go and enjoy!

Found Cafe Jos by searching the net and thought a visit would be appropriate. Must say this is a hidden gem off the tourist track. A local place just a walk away from Nijmegen center with a magnificent range of beers and whiskies. 210 whiskies from local Dutch to rare Scottish, 21 draft beers with a total of 200+ beers.... Situated in the Eastern part of Nijmegen (Nijmegen Oost) and a fair distance from town this pub, if you're in the area is not to be missed. Lots of different beers and whiskies available. Very pleasant terrace.

Our friend and hostess in Nijmegen took us here as she knew my husband likes his beers and it was only 10 mins walk from her house. She was right, what a great neighbourhood pub with a great wrap around terrace outside and plenty of tables and atmosphere inside. The beer menu is substantial and the owner and staff know... More

Best place to go for a drink of your own choice and have a nice snack as well. Good advice and service provided in a relaxed atmosphere. Awarded as best whisky establishment 2013 by the dutch Scotch Single Malt Wisky Society (SSWMS).

I'm actually going there nearly every few weeks, and really like its nice and relax, as I wrote on my title, nice whisky and beer pub. With nearly about 90 kinds of whiskies. So people should try try there once. It's not that touristic, but I mean for people visit once Nijmegen.
