Visited on a mild dry Sunday in mid Feb, still plenty to see despite the time of year, it was our first visit for about five years and decided to take a family membership out, as particularly good value. With the changing of the seasons well worth repeated visits over the year.

The coffee in the Glasshouse cafe was awful. An americano tasted sweet and quite odd, possibly something to do with the push button machines used to make it. A latte was cold. The tables were not cleared and the families with their little darlings running through the planted areas did not appear to have the manners to be able to... More

This was my 4th visit in recent months and yet again it did not disappoint on a cold February day. We had a leisurely stroll through the gardens to the Tropical Glasshouse, which at this time of the year has tropical butterflies flying around there. That was great fun and a fantastic opportunity of photo's After that then we strolled... More

Poor selection of foods for adults and children. Very expensive for what you get. Noisy, crowded with cluttered tables. Of course, the gardens are fabulous.

I used my Tesco vouchers to get membership as we love going to the butterflies. With membership you can get 2 kids in for free or another adult. We had a lovely day. The butterflies were amazing as always. But it is very hot in there so if you have kids you end up carrying coats and hats and your... More

RHS gardens normally feel like a grown-ups day out but at Wisley, we went with four girls aged 5 to 7. As RHS members we had free entry. We had a picnic in the garden... great views whilst eating! The glass house at the far end of the garden is the big attraction as it houses the butterfly house. They... More

I am not really a garden person, I have to admit. However hearing on Eagle Radio about the "Butterflies in the Glasshouse" event I thought that it would be a nice and different afternoon out. I love the tropical climate of the Far East and the thought that a lovely afternoon in the Glasshouse would be a great tonic for... More

I visited here today with grandchildren and we all had a marvellous time. We visited the Butterfly attraction in the tropical glasshouse along with many other visitors and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Well worth a few hours to visit. Also pop into Butterfly box next door very interesting and interact with other things for children to do.

RHS Wisley gardens was a great place to go. The plants are hinting at spring. You can visit anytime and it will have something special for you. The facilities excellent. It was half term and busy ut still a lot of space. We got a table in the Glasshouse cafe immediately.

On a cold day the tropical greenhouse with the butterflies was a good place to visit,it was very interesting and the exhibitions afterwards were very informative,we learnt alot about butterflies that we never knew before. The downside was the cafe ,VERY expensive for ordinary snacks and everything on cardboard plates and coffee in cardboard cups.Yuk.I felt embarressed as we had a...
