We visited the James Joyce Pub Zurich for nostalgic reasons as parents wedding party had been held there in Dublin in 1948, during its previous incarnation as the Antique Bar in the old Jurys Hotel. It is one of only three Irish pubs that were...More

Really liked this bar, spacious with the big booth style for a big crowd. Very impressed that it was brought from Dublin in the 70's in honour of James Joyce, who lived his last years in Zurich and is buried here with his family

We had visited the James Joyce society nearby and had a drink here followed by a meal in the evening when they had a group playing. Very friendly, attentive staff and lovely food. I had the tikka masala and husband the burger - both filling...More

Great atmosphere, music and staff. I come here regularly and don't see that changing any time soon. Try "The Complete" burger, it's delicious and substantial. Or the complementary nuts, up to you! :)

Went here for drinks with girls from work on a week night. We had made reservations but at 7pm wasn't too full, yet. My friend was disappointed in her whiskey sour and my champagne was tasty but was clearly flat as there were no bubbles.

Dropped in for a pint and a whiskey on a hot summer afternoon. Fabulous. The Guinness pour was perfect and the shot of Irish whiskey a lovely compliment. Friendly service, cool on a hot day, and lovely finishings. I could write a novel here!

Range of beer and food to suit most tastes. Close to Rennweg tram stop. Great customer service and reasonably priced for Zurich.

Just FYI: I am trying to understand why this establishment is listed as a tourist attraction instead of a food & drink joint. I've been to the Joyce a few times while living in Zurich, and it is a really nice pub with a pretty...More
