About
The Pavillon Le Corbusier on Lake Zurich is considered an architectural jewel. The building was initiated by Heidi Weber, who commissioned Le Corbusier and oversaw its completion in 1967. It is the last building designed by the important architect and his only building made of steel and glass. The pavilion remains closed during the winter months and will be open again from April 29 until November 27, 2022.

Now is the time to go. Beautifully restored with an on-site curator. You are allowed access to all floors and the very cool covered roof deck. Use your Zurich Card, it's free. Great location directly adjacent to the park and lake. Easy walk from a main tram stop. It was built as an exhibition space and event pavilion and there was a great photography show of Le Corbusier's other buildings. Very cool, even for the non-architect.

This must be one of the best iconic houses by great architects, and there are a few very impressive ones. A masterpiece for a Swiss lady at the end of his life, remarkably large with beautiful rooms, light all around, colors and several floors. Very cleverly done. You need to spend some time walking around to experience the creativity. It is like walking around in an artwork in a dream. Lots of information on colors etc The exterior and environment outside are pretty too, at the lake and in park. A few paid parking spots only for cardholders. Entrance is 12 CHF, totally worth the price.

Even it you don't go inside, this is worth walking around as Le Corbusier's last and final project. The cubism, Mondrian-like squares and floating roof are an architectural treat.

To us, MCM enthusiasts, this is the hidden jewel of Zurich. It’s unexpected and beautiful. Even though we live here, I’m still amazed every time I come upon the house. The location next to the lake is amazing and there is a great playground literally next door for those with kids. The inside tour is self guided and it’s a joy to discover the nooks and crannies on your own. To most it’s probably just a colorful modern house but to the right audience, it’s breathtaking. We bought a museum pass mostly because we want to visit the LC house multiple times.

I think this is the last project of the great architect. Unfortunately, I only had time to look at it from the outside. Otherwise the house is a museum.

If you're a fan of modern architecture, you'll want to have a look at the last building the great Swiss architect Le Corbusier designed. It's both a museum to Le Corbusier and a work of art in it's own right. The style of design using steel and glass, was a huge departure from Le Corbusier's concrete buildings. While the museum has an array works by Le Corbusier on display, it's the building that's the real star. At 12 Swiss francs, entry is a little pricey. There's a tram line within short walking distance.

I really enjoyed visiting this house.

Less than a mile down the lake from the opera house, this little gem contains artwork, memorabilia, and photographs of Le Corbusier. And of course the building. The upstairs roof patio is sublime for relaxing and looking out at the park below. Very laid back. And on the walk back there are several ice cream stands and food venues.

This site is situated at Zurichhorn, a 10-minute bus-ride south of the city center. You can also go there by boat. It reopened after renovation in 2019. Originally, it opened in the 1960’s and had Heidi Weber who cooperated with Le C as its director for 50 years.

Set in a park near the lake, this small gem of a modern house delights the eye inside and out. Art work, furniture and features of the house's design itself make a visit worthwhile. There are also many photographs of Corbusier himself. Free admission with Zurich card.
