The place by itself is nothing spectacular, but in summer you can have a nice time on the patios of all the restaurants around it. It's true once Schwamendigen wasn't the place for medium and high class people from Zürich, but all around the area...More

In zurich schwamendingen means as a ghetto. Its not. But it has also nothing special there a few little shops, but a good connection to the city. So if you live there its fine, but you dont need to go there and expect something special

The Schamendingerplatz has recently been renovated, now it looks modern and cool. Lots of dining options, shops nearby, cafes. There is a beautiful forest 5 min walk from there. And all that just a short ride from the city centre!
