Take the Polybahn up to the University. Visit the University before descending back into the busy Zurich. They run often so you don't have to wait long to travel up or down.

Visited with my best mate... We were expecting something a bit more than what it was, a tram up the mountain. Literally lasts 3 minutes and takes you up to the university. Some great views at the top.

This well restored funicular is free of charge .Provides a very convenient ride from close by the river Limmat and old town up towards the university of Zurich where a pleasant terrace provides opportunity for fine views

The trip on the Polybahn was blink & you miss it. However the outlook from the top was worth it. Located in the city.

Riding this Polybahn funicular is a convenient shortcut to get yourself to the Polytechnic University atop on a hill with a terrace overseeing the city. Fare is included into a 24-hour ticket.
