I was excited about the Polybahn! It's not the Polybahns fault but it's really just another way for college students to get up to the university. The ride goes pretty quickly and gets pretty packed in the morning. Not a lot to see. It only takes a couple minutes though so hop on if you happen to be in the... More

Part of the transit system, this funicular is a fun way to get up to the University of Zurich and surrounding areas.

I take all visitors with the polybahn to enjoy the view from the ETH. It has a great story and everyone loves riding on the open compartment on the front of the cart. A quick way up to a great view of the lake and mountains

I watched as people (mainly college looking kids) lined up to go into a small building. I realized it was a small tram, and wondered where it went. When I got onto the 6 Bus we actually passed the tram and all the people who waited to get onboard... What is the point of the tram, when the bus is... More

I first used the Polybahn to get uphill to the University of Zurich's admin office in order to register my membership as a foreign alumnus. Believe me, an average Singaporean needs SERIOUS adjustment whenever there's a need to climb uphill. So this was sort of my cheat-way uphill. This is a cute ride. I like to stand on the front... The ride lasts for about 2-3 minutes. The coach has about 10 seating places and an outside deck for standing. It connects the Limmatquai street and the Zurich university. Overall, it was an interesting experience (and also a quick way to climb that hill :)).

Amazing ride to the university of zurich in the single coach train that is now operated by UBS. This is very close to the zurich main station. (Tram station - Central). Over the top you get amazing view of the city of Zurich..

Polybahn links central Zurich with the university and spares people the steep climb for a small fee. It hasn't got heating but you don't want to take off your coat for the short ride. The view from the upper station over Zurich is quite nice sif there is some spare time go and have a ride.

since my studies 40 years ago in Zurich i MUST ride this little train when coming to Zurich. I love to ride outside on a platform. The train starts out of a business house, crosses a busy road immeditately and reaches its top destination within very few minutes: so hurry up to enjoy the ride!
