St. Peter's Church is visible from all over the town along with other two Churches of Fraumunster and Grossmunster, making it an important and distinctive part of Zurich panorama.
It has the biggest clock face in Europe, but I found it very simple and nothing extraordinary.
Moreover, the interiors left a pretty disappointing impression when we entered.
The Church is on Limmat's right bank, on an elevated position near the Lindenhof view point, so be prepared for some walking uphill.

The clock face is definitely huge. It actually helps orient you to getting to the old town. I loved the walk in this area. Really worth the time.

Beatiful church over the hill of Lindenhof, in this place used to be th site o Jupiter temple durin Roman empire. The first curch was built around 1000 year then replaced in 1230 by a late romanesque structure. The nave was rebuilt in Gothic style in 1460.
The current building was consacrated in 1706 as the first church built under Protestant rule.

St. Peterskirche is the newst among the four largest churches in Zürch. There has been a church on this location since 8th or 9th century - though the current building can be dated back to 1709. The church is known for its large clock on the tower - which is surposed to be the largest in Europe. The size of the clock is 8.64 meter or 28,3 ft.

St. Peter's is the simplest and plainest of the three major churches in Zurich. Admision is free. It's worth a peek inside this historically important church.

For a good concert one needs a good orchestra. But for a really enjoyable performance the site's acoustics must also be good. St. Peter's excels!

This is the city's oldest parish church. The enormous clock face is the continent's largest and its spire dominates the skyline. The interior is simple, in keeping with a reformation church.
