Impressive church with a big square outside it. It is in the centre of the old city. The towers are huge. It is near the main riverfront.

The Grossmunster is a lovely place to stop as you stroll around Zurich. It's beautiful inside and the best part is climbing up to one of the tall steeples. Make sure you bring a few Francs so you can climb to the top. The views...More

An important church to see where Zwingli started teaching and the Bible to the commoner. He was one of the early reformers in the Protestant church. John 3:16.

You can definitely find the church due to its distinctive towers. We went inside and the different types of stained glass windows were amazing!

The Protestant Reformation was in large part developed in Zurich, through the efforts of Zwingli and others. The Grossmunster church is a great example of the spiritual tradition of Switzerland while at the same time the history of the country.
