This prominent 13th-century Gothic cathedral is perhaps best known for one of its more recent additions, stained-glass windows designed by Marc Chagall in the 1970s.

The Fraumunster ,one of the oldest religious buildings in Zurich, was founded in 853,as a Benedictine convent. There are stained glass windows by Marc Chagall in the chancel and south transept end Giacometti in north transept.

The five windows by Chagall are beautiful and the main reason for the visit to this church. No photos are allowed unfortunately so sit and enjoy this artwork for as long as you need.

The Reformation severely damaged some beautiful buildings and this is a good example of how to convert a beautiful house of God into a large undistinguished place

If you visit this gorgeous city you cannot leave before visiting this church. The architecture if simple, don't expect gold everywhere. In addition to the fact that its construction started back in 853 in its vitreaux from Marc Chagall are of an overwhelming beauty. Make...More

This is one of the biggest church I've seen in Zürich. It has like a magic wall that once the door is close you won't hear the noise of the people from the technoparade that we have witnessed in Zürich..

The church is stark but the windows by Marc Chagall are stunning. Plan to spend some time to just sit and admire them.

This Church was very busy when we stopped by with very large tour groups. Again another very fine Church building right in the heart of the old town. Well worth a viewing.

Just saw it from outside its beautiful. Did not go in. Good place to get pictures taken and also just relaxing on the outside. Its an open space where people just walk and take pictures
