    Killer Queen
It’s real experience to go at Montreux. But the most important thing it’s to see the statue of Freddie Mercury as a real fan of Queen. When you arrived at Montreux, we see the Chillon’s cattle but in the centre of the town, the statue, throne in front of the Lake of Geneva. Enjoyed the Queen’s experience tour if you want, but it’s also important to do it alone without guide. The statue, in front of the lake, next to the Montreux’s casino, show us a vibrant tribute to the leader of Queen’s group frozen for centuries, at Wembley concert in 1986. Group’s town favourite, impregnate yourself of the rock atmosphere of the town, enjoyed the lakeside and flanned all the way to the casino and home to the Queen's museum. In the heart of the casino, it's the Queen studio experience, free, the legendary "Mountain Studios" has seen the likes of David Bowie, The Rolling Stones and of course Queen, totally free this experience will help you to learn more about the band. Enjoyed the experience of the town of Queen and also the Swiss riviera!

Five years after Freddie’s death in 1991 this tribute to the habitué of Montreux was inaugurated. In classic stance with right hand raised and in full song it is a popular attraction for his devoted fandom. Testament to this was the amount of garlanding and heartfelt handwritten messages adorning the monument.

At first I didn't believe it... It was actually Freddie Mercury, not very talkative, however glamorous. It is really nice that the city has made a tribute to him, it's something that I did enjoyed a lot. However keep in mind that in day time (11.00-19.00) its crowded.

Freddie Stood For Perfection So He Must Get Five Stars!
Perhaps the most visited sculpture along the Quai de la Rouvenaz on the banks of Lake Geneva is the statue of Freddie Mercury. Apparently, this statue is somewhat mobile as it has had various backdrops over the years. While not the highlight of our trip to Montreux, it was certainly one that my wife and I enjoyed very much even though it takes only a few moments to enjoy. The history of Queen in this remarkable city is quite the story. Thanks, Freddie!

Walking the Promenade sur les Quais de Montreuxwe came across Freddy's statue. Totally unexpected. The statue is a thoughtful remembrance of Freddy.

I do recommend you walk along the promenade, when you are in Montreaux.

On our recent family holiday to Montreux, Switzerland we had to stop at very popular Freddie Mercury Memorial Statue. I recently learnt about Freddie's great connection with Montreux and it's just natural for the fans to see his memorial at Montreux. The statue is installed at a beautiful square on the banks of Montreux Lake and it's an amazing view.

Whether you are a Freddie Mercury fan or not, do visit this status just for it's experience.

A great tribute and a pilgrimage place to one of the best singers and showmen in entire music history.
I am not sure if there's another Freddie statue in the world, so I'm so glad the town of Montreux recognized his importance and contribution to music and erected this monument in a town he loved and spent his last years.
Be sure to visit the Queen experience studios 10 min walk from it.

As Queen fans this was one of our reasons for choosing a visit to Montreux. Freddie is an icon and this statue pays homage to him. If you love Freddie you'll love the statue. It is a life size realistic statue in one of his iconic poses. that appears on the cover of Made In Heaven. It stands on the banks of Lake Geneva and is literally "just there". Its free to visit and have your photo taken next to.

If you don't love Freddie or Queen then its not for you.

Freddy is the most important artist of our days. Montreux was one of the most hotspots of the 90s and dozens of the most important artist from all over the world used this city both for their holidays and for the spiritual point of view. Freddy wrote at Montreux some of his best golden songs! Thank you Montreux for hosting there this beautiful statue!

Visiting the Freddy Mercury statue was a memorable experience. Situated elegantly at Place du Marché, this tribute beautifully captures the charisma of legendary Queen frontman. A must-visit spot for any music fan in Montreux. Don't forget your camera, the views of lake Geneva in the backdrop are stunning!

Situated on the banks of Lake Geneva, in Montreux, this statue in honour of Freddie Mercury is very well done. A nice photo op. if you're walking by but, unless you're Queen or Mercury fan, maybe not something you need to actively seek out.
