The location is fantastic, to start with. I was surprised the lady in the counter ask for our origin and when I refused to give it -for free- she complained the museum wasn't earning enough. She was Spanish speaker and I explained that the information she wanted for free -for statistics- has to be paid (or at least reduced it... More

The museum is not big, but its expositions are changing every few months. They are mostly focused on photography, posters, paintings. The museum is not big, but after you've seen all in, you can enjoy the park around and walk to the Olympic museum or to the lake.

Nice photography museum with changing exhibitions. I assume it's a miss or hit, as there is no 'fixed' exhibitions, and it's hard to tell what quality the temporary exhibitions would have. My visit was OK, nothing more. It was my first visit, so wanted to get in anyway, just to see the building, and the store. There is also a small... More

A small museum near the lake in Lausanne. I'd heard a lot about it and visited in the off-chance.There were exhibitions from two photographers, one modern, the other slightly older. It was a matter of luck. One I liked, the other was OK. There is a good shop with specialist books. The setting is marvellous. You can easily walk through... More

Small, intimate setting. Like touring through a home with small rooms. Great displays. Nice cafe nearby. Wonderful way to spend half a day.

This museum is all about photography and depending on when you visit, they have some temporary exhibits alongside the permanent ones. If you are one of those that love your DSLR and know more than just taking selfies, this is the museum to visit in Lausanne. FREE with the Swiss Pass.
