Nice walk

This is a pleasant walk along the promenade. With the lake on one side and a park on the other (most of the way). We walked down from the city centre via the Olympic museum then left along the promenade. Turning back at the tower and progressing to the Port area. There is a metro station at the post back to the station etc but we chose to walk up a path alongside the railway which was off the road and a pleasant uphill stroll.

Unbeatable in Lausanne

THE most beautiful place in Lausanne. Superb view of the lake, pleasant and easy walk (even with a stroller or wheelchair), clean, pleasant relaxing... Certainly very busy and hyper (too) touristy. But clearly to do while passing through Lausanne.

The greens paces and parks along Lake Geneva are just gorgeous. Lots of room to walk, take in the scenery, take a boat tour or a meal, people watching, views, and photo opportunities.

If in Lausanne, take the metro down there!

The quais d'Ouchy are an absolute must-see for visitors to Lausanne who want to enjoy the incredible views across the lake. You can take an easy ride down the metro, or strolln down the Avenue d'Ouchy (warning: steep grade). From there, turn left and stroll down the sidewalk, bordered by a stone wall (lest you stumble unto the rocky shore of the lake!). Glance to your right and you'll gaze at the expanse of the lake (largest distance is right there) to the alps of Savoie in France. Glance left and you'll behold stately hotels, followed by parks with great statues. Enjoyable under suuny, cloudy, or even rainy conditions!

Good lake view in Ouchy Lausanne, it is very comfortable temperature and sunny day. It is the best season to enjoy take-a-walk in lake side. Wonderful lake view.
