A great walk up to the fortress, overlooking the old town of Sion. Suitable for the whole family, although the very little ones might need to be carried up. Once at the top one can step back in time and just imagine life at that period of time, visit the museum, get a quick bite to eat and then watch... More

Super easy to find - just look up! Parking was awkward - if you follow the signs you'll be ok BUT you have to go down a level once in the car park. The ascent to the church is long and, well, uphill. We did it in the height of summer on a very hot day. Suitable for children but... More

Easy to walk there, suitable also to kids. Walkable distance form the city centre. You can get to this fortified church following a paved trekking path with a great view on the Sion city. I strongly suggest to go there right before the sun set which will make the full experience magic. The church is little and interesting. Perhaps would... More

Walk up is easy although an incline all the way. The views from the top are amazing you can see up and down the Rhone as well as the old town and the tops of the churches bell tower. The museum itself is very interesting taking you back in time from Ice age and forwards. The Clark is very helpful.... More

Short and easy walk, only minutes from old downtown Sion,... so far away from the "madding crowd",.. and what a view from there.

Unlike the Chateau Tourbillon, the walk up to the fortress is really easy and is definitely a must do if you come to Sion. There is a small shop at the top (that serves ice cream I think) and the church itself is truly beautiful. The views are amazing and if you took your family here it would be worth... More

After a nice little climb, you I Ill arrive at the church monastery, which is in pretty good conditions! The view from up there is awsome. A good combination with the visit of tourbillon, part of an afternoon trip

A very beautiful walk up, and a nice view on the city. Totally worth it, even more for historically interested people.

The castle and the church are beautiful and the staff nice. We however stopped also in the cafeteria where we were charged an outrageous price for a shabby sandwich (served after more than 30 minutes). Also, paying in euro is possible if you don't mind being cheated with the conversion: the had me to pay as if the euro was... More

Nice fortress. Lots of displays. A good mixture of interesting and pretty. Staff very nice. Views excellent. People in wheelchairs or with walking aids better not visit, it is not accessible enough.
