There is absolutely no way you can miss the highest peak in the Eastern Alps. If you are coming by train and particularly on the Bernina Express you will hear the voice comments announcing the Piz Bernina and the Morteratsch glacier. There are probably three photo points: one at Diavolezza, the other from the base of the glacier and the... More

Top of the world. Nice restaurants at both 2nd stop and at the top - view downhill skiing starting point. Hiking and biking trails for the fit.

Been there in late April with my family. We enjoyed a less crowded time while visiting St Moritz and surroundings

The trip up the hill to get as close as the average person can to Piz Bernina is highly recommended. We saw it in all its glory. Bright sunshine with scattered cloud cover.

Amazing rail trip over the alps from St Moritz down into Tirano. Clear, sunny summer day made for a great train trip. The Bernina line has overcome extreme terrain to give passengers a wonderful view of steep-sided mountains, narrow passes, picture-postcard villages in deep valleys, bridges and viaducts, even a circular one. The carriages are made for scenic viewing with... More

The Bernini train ride through the mountains in winter is a once in a lifetime experience of snow, glaciers, and frozen lakes. The historic train travels over historic bridges,up steep inclines, and through mountain passes which drop hundreds of feet to valleys and lakes below.

Slopes looked spectacular but unfortunately I was not prepared to ski and so there was little you could do at the top except admire the view. (which is spectacular) If you are a non skier - I would recommend going to Muoattos Muragl which has other activities.
