Engadin is a cascade of colours and a waterfall of emotions. St. Moritz, which is in the Upper Engadine, at an elevation of 1,856 m, boasts plenty of sunny days. It was exactly this sun that was legally protected as the emblem of St. Moritz in 1930. St. Moritz was often ahead of the times - for example, the first... More

Despite the gorgeous lake, the amazing mountain view, the wide open sky, this area is dead during off season. The big beautiful hotels are closed during the season and only 2-3 restaurant open. Most of activity (summer and winter sport) are not available. Hikes are prohibited too! You can still enjoy the view and have a few good day trip... More

Beautiful mountains and breath taking surroundings along the valley from Maloja to S-Chamf as you glide along the langlauf trails. Public transport is brilliant. You can catch a free local bus to Corvatsch from Silvaplana, if you want to take the cable car to access the pistes on both sides of the valley. From St Moritz, the red RHB trains... More

We were very lucky as 2 meters of snow fell the day before our arrival, and we had blue sky and sun for most of the week. The mountains are very beautiful and the runs prepared immaculately each day. The lifts are modern and therefore you never have to wait for long. It's just a wonderful skiing experience.

St Moritz and the surrounding area is very scenic. The mountains and lakes are lovely. Skiing is quite limited if you are used to hundreds of kilometres of linked piste. However the whole area is full of history (English mainly) and very interesting.

Was in the Engadine region for 3 days. Anywhere you go be it the St Moritz Lake, the mountains, or the villages the scenery is breathtaking. You can sit for hours and days admiring the beauty of this region. A region not to be missed if you are visiting switzerland.

Arrived in St Moritz on the vastly overated Glacier express and picked up from station by our Hotel Hauser. The accommodation was excellent but an evening walk around the centre made me feel the place was only for the rich. The second day changed my view with the hotel giving a free pass for the lifts buses etc. We went... More
