The Alp of Pfingstegg ist THE viewpoint of Grindelwald. With the only Areal tramway of Grindelwald you can go up to the Alp where lush meadows, glaciers close enough to touch and get a magnificent view to the valley. Experience an action-packed ride on our toboggan run and then enjoy the view from the restaurant terrace, or one of the many seating areas. 2016 , we will expand our range of playground for Kids and adults. We're open from May to October. Pfingstegg - THE Grindelwald Paradise!

The local call Toboggan run as "Rodelbahn".We took the cable way to Pfingstegg in order to ride Rodelbahn. Then we discovered the place had a well maintained hiking trail. On top of that, the view from the top was magnificient. I could see the whole area of Grindelwald

Great day out. Fat fun and furious. Great for a range of ages and range of 'adventurousness' . You can decide how fast or slow you want to go but, if you g to slow if someone you don't know is behind you they may end up forcing you to go faster so, let someone who wants to go slow... More

Highly recommended when you are in Grindelwald -- continue walking past the First Cable Car station in Grindelwald to the Pfingstegg cable car. We had lunch at the bistro up the top and then proceeded to the toboggan run - kids absolutely loved it!

The toboggan ride only lasts a couple of minutes, but it's a fun, low-key thrill that is worth the 5.50 Sfr. If you're looking up, you'll have beautiful views of Grindelwald below. Adults can ride with small children. It's easy to brake, but if you prefer to go fast, hold off on braking until the end. There's a lift that... More

The toboggan run was great fun but pretty pricey and you have to pay to come up the Gondola as well which adds to the cost. The supervision on the ride was a bit patchy but most people seemed to be able to manage the instructions properly [only a few chose to ignore it] Make sure that your ticket is... More

Hi Katherine C. Thanks for your review. Maybe you hear before: Switzerland is a expensive country...its not our fault. if you want to do other activities in grindelwald you also pay 50 francs and more. our cablecar is 24 for the round-trip and we have a lot of discounts - if we know that. to use the toboggan it is... He will be dangerous if poeple do stupid things like crashed in other poeples or stopped in the middle of the slide and make selfies! Navigating the Grindelwald area meant finding the best activities and trying not to be too touristy. Having heard that Grindelwald was a bit over exploited, we arrived on the train after a beautiful ride to a real marathon of some description being held in the town. Under the awesome North face of the Eiger, we watched the runners come in... More
