The journey to the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe, at 3454 metres Europe’s highest altitude railway station, is the highlight of every visit to Switzerland. It offers visitors a high-Alpine wonderworld of ice, snow and rock, which can be marvelled at from vantage terraces, the Aletsch Glacier or in the Ice Palace. On clear days, views extend as far as the Vosges mountains in France and Germany’s Black Forest.

Expensive - YES. And we each had a Swiss Travel Pass that reduced the cost somewhat but it is something you can and will always remember. We travelled from Interlaken. We were aware of the two hour (one way) journey on three trains (very easy interchanges). It was a full day for us - and we had a wonderful lunch... More

I've been traveling to the Lauterbrunnen Valley for more than 20 years and often considered this journey, but never wanted to spend the time/money on the train on a sunny day. But, it turned out to be well worth the trip! The views and experience were spectacular. Although, the altitude made me feel slightly dizzy most of the time i... More

We stayed in Interlaken and took a day trip to Jungfraujoch. The train ride and all places enroute (Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Grindelwald, Kleine Scheidegg) were amazing. The train ride from Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfrau was an experience within an experience. We had all you can see pass so we spent quite some time going around every place and cherished every moment... Best of Switzerland organized tour with precision and passion! Guide Marcel was knowledgeable and interesting and pointed out all the important sights and gave us great information. The trip took 12 hours and was a most enjoyable way to check off a bucket list item.

When visiting Switzerland in the region of Berner Oberland this would almost be a "must see"! Do check out the weather forecasts, as you are at 3500M so with a clear and sunny day the views are simply amazing. It's nicely set up in terms of some history and other themed ice sculptures. Nice outing with the family (although very... More

My wife and I visited the Jungfraujoch in February as I wanted to take the rail journey when the snow was at its best. The rail journey was spectacular in itself, but the presentation of history of the building of the railway, tunnels and station is superbly done. The walk through the glacier - wow! The lift to the viewing... More

What a journey! I took a day trip from Lausanne to Interlaken with the hope that the inclement weather would stay away long enough for me to make it to the top of Jungfraujoch and take in the views. Thankfully my timing worked and clouds started to fill in the valleys just as I was about to depart. The views... More

This is our first time in Swiss and to see snow (very much snowing although in Summer). We enjoyed Jungfraujoch and it will be a memory for years and years to come. If you have time, have the best lunch of your life on the restaurant and it is to die for!! Love the food, the service and the view..OMG... More

We expected it to be beautiful from the reviews we saw, but It was way beyond that feeling. See it, to experience it! The train ride takes a while, be in your best shoes, you need some running to do to catch seats in the train each time you get in and out. Reminded me of school, run to catch... More
