We were in Switzerland in last Easter(2016) and visited this place on our second day. We stayed in an apartment at Brienz and had 15 day Swiss pass and thus free to go anywhere within Switzerland. Mount Rigi trip was also included in Swiss pass. We took 8:25am Interlakhen-Lucern Express train to Luzern. It was a beautiful journey of 90... More

We took the cable car to the top of Mt Rigi. Absolutely amazing. It was freezing cold and snowing but that didn't dampen our excitement. Fantastic day out, we went after 12pm so the ticket was cheaper, took the cable car and then swapped to another car to the very top and also went on the ice flyer and cliff... More

This was the first day using our Swiss Travel Pass - and what a wonderful day. Started with the boat cruise, jumped on the cog train to the top of Rigi on a beautiful day, and after a brief lunch at the top we spent about SwF 35 each to have a few hours at the well being centre -... More

We took the cog railway up to the summit, quite a steep ride but excellent view of Lake Lucern on the way up. At the top it was snowing and very windy but it was March after all. Good views at top once the snow cleared. After getting off the train we walked up to the restaurant and thawed out.... More

Heights are not my thing so it was a little daunting to think about going up Mt. Rigi, but sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone and this was well worth it! We got the boat from Lucerne, and had a lovely trip to Vitznau enjoying the views along the way. Then we jumped on the cogwheel train to... More

It is such a pleasant view from the top and we had very beautiful weather when we were there, as we traveled in early March, all the area was snow covered and highly recommended to bring your sun glasses, our daughter enjoyed it very much as she could play in snow, unfortunately, we didn't bring any ski equipment, there is... A walk up the Rigi (or on the train) is a must if you are living or travelling in Switzerland. Mark twain and Queen victoria were there too! The views are amazing

Hi Juliet This is a true Story. In 1879 the American writer Mark Twain hiked the Rigi. He kept his experiences in his diary. "A tramp abroad" it is an exciting and funny reading and describes to climb the Queen of the Mountain, Rigi, in three days. We are looking forward to welcoming you again on Mount Rigi. Best regards,... More

Hi Trish Rigi Kulm is the highest point of Mount Rigi. From here, you can enjoy a view of no fewer than 13 lakes and a regular “sea of peaks”, a 360-degree panorama that is truly the stuff of legend. Just board the cogwheel train in Vitznau or Arth-Goldau, and Rigi Kulm will do the rest to make your outing... More

In spite of many tourists up there, the Rigi is definitely worth going to. Beautiful trains, you may get to ride an old-timer train, all made of wood - just lovely. Make sure you take some warm clothes along, as it could be much colder than you may expect.

Hi :-) Thank you for your valuable Feedback. The Rigi railways are characterized by nostalgia. Loving restorations allow us to present today a unique vehicle fleet, with vehicles dating back to the 19th century. We hope you can enjoy soon, another experience at the queen of the mountains Stéphanie Mt. Rigi More
