The cogwheel train from Vitznau to Mt. Rigi has amazing hill climb. It must be close to 40-50 degree incline and it seems as if you are going over the lake once you reach some height. The views in between are breathtaking. Also one can...More

Gorgeous trip by boat to base of mountain, then train ride up to top. Incredible views from top. There are lakes all around and the weather was perfect. Leisurely hiked down, there are many trails to choose from.

We took the boat tour on Lake Lucerne to Vitznau. Took the cog train up. The train makes several stops on way up. Area on top was extremely windy and cold when we were there. Great views! Take the train down to the cable car...More

Hello, We have Swiss Travel Pass and I was planning to bring my father with us. Do you know if there is some walking involved? I am debating if I should bring his wheel chair if there is too much walking for train and boat pick up. He can walk up to 10 minutes. He has no issues with high altitude. Thanks a bunch!!

there is a toilet at the top right at the train stop. you do not have to go up to the restaurant.
