Take the cable car from Engelbert & get off at the first station. There is a loop walk to the waterfall - generally flat to the base, but rugged climb after that to the top - great views. Then walk down the other side - easier descent.
Then do the loop walk around the lake - easy walking on gravel track. Great views.
There are a couple of cafe facilities, picnic areas & a BBQ area.
Also, a trail for children & variety of activities.

Trubsee is the middle station when going to the Mt. Titlis peak.
Your entry ticket allows you to get off here and later proceed your journey, which I strongly suggest.
Take a hike around this glacier lake, it will take up to an hour and you can also rest in one of several cafes.

I love this place so much. I have been there multiple times and cant get bored of this location.

I can strongly recommend a beautiful hike from Truebsee to Engstensee and further called MARMOT ROUTE I had even a chance to meet marmots on my way but for that you need to remember to be really really quite.

I did that hike on few occasions, started from Engelberg with cable car to Truebsee however you can as well start on another side Engstensee where you can directly arrive with your car without a need to pay for mountain lift (which can be pricey for a group or a good saving in favour of other attractions).

1 - Spectacular views on YouTube channel HSN Healing Sound of Nature:
“Marmot route from Truebsee /Engelberg, amazing nature of Switzerland”.
Channel: Healing Sound of Nature
2- Nature sounds video from this valley from
Engstlensee lake “Healing Sound of Nature Swiss Mountain Lake Music -Engstensee relaxation, meditation, sleep HSN”,
and Waterfall "Swiss Mountain Waterfall Nature Sounds Music - Engelberg relaxation, meditation, sleep, chill out”

Channel: "HSN Healing Sound of Nature" - in search option chose channel

Just to let you know Channel was set up to share healing sound of nature therefore you can find within available videos as well 2 for 1h each presenting peacefulness of that place:
1. Engstlensee lake - “Healing Sound of Nature Swiss Mountain Lake Music -Engstensee relaxation, meditation, sleep HSN”
2. Little waterfall with river falling to Truebsee -“Swiss Mountain Waterfall Nature Sounds Music - Engelberg relaxation, meditation, sleep, chill out”

Enjoy views of the hike and available nature sounds

An easy trip up to the Trübsee! Definitely worth it plus it's an easy walk around the lake. Fantastic views across the valley!

I can strongly recommend a beautiful hike from Truebsee to Engstensee and further, simply check marmot route 💕 I had even a chance to meet marmots on my way personally but for that you need to remember to be quite.

I have documented last hike with really spectacular views on YouTube channel HSN Healing Sound of Nature: “Marmot route from Truebsee /Engelberg, amazing nature of Switzerland”.
Pls feel free to check it, to be able to look for it simply look for channel: HSN Healing Sound of Nature - in search option chose channel 💕🍀

Must visit on your way to Titlis. The view of the lake from the top or the cable car is very nice. Nice photogenic location. Free self rowing boat rides available on the lake.

Lake Trubsee can be easily reached from Engelberg by gondola and a short walk. Alternatively rather than walking you can catch the zipwire from Trubsee down to the lake. Activities in Summer at the lake include kayaking, rowing, walking around the lake, BBQs and activities/playgrounds for children. The views around the lake are beautiful. Rowing in the lake is great fun for all the family.

Lake Trubsee is at the Cable car station midway. Very serene atmosphere once you trek down to the lake.

Just a quick cable car to see the lake, which is nice, but not nearly as nice as some other lakes which require more walking. The Bachalpsee near Grindelwald is much nicer. I would not consider this lake a destination. We just passed by on the way to the Jochpass hike.
