What a fantastic view of the lake. The kids were fascinated by the views surrounding the lake. It's also very nice at night for a romantic walk by the lake.

suggest a long walk around the end of the lake, even in winter the view is breathtaking, with the French alps giving a splendid back.

The view is amazing on the lake as you are surrounded by mountains. It's best to be on a tour or hire a boat so you can roam around freely. The water is good. Huge waterfall. A great place to visit!

~Firstly make sure you get your Geneva Transport Card from your hotel at check in (see photo) ~Then look for Mouettes Genevoises (Geneva Gulls) offices on the map. They ferry little yellow taxi boats from one shore to the other in a few minutes, with the Geneva Transport Card, you can board the boat for free. OMG Yeah vs CGN... More

As we were outwith the holiday season, we only took short trips on the local yellow ferries, from the Old Town to the dock nearest our hotel and also across the lake. However it was beautiful to see all the lights reflect on the water.
