I was in Geneva and decided to take the cable car to the top of Mont Saleve. It was a great outing! This is a slightly off-beat activity. The walk to the cable car station itself is pretty, and you don't see a lot of...More

Short bus trip on the local bus, then a stunning cable car ride to the top. Top of the Mont is more of a rolling plateau with a steep side facing Geneva. Fantastic views in all directions on a clear day.

It is a 1300 m. (4500 f.) mountain located in France, just after the western border of Switzerland. It changes often it's seasonal colours. The most attractive period is Autumn with the reddish and yellow flames. We recommend to take the cable car and go...More

If visiting Geneva this is great for the views but quite a trek at the top to get the best but we were glad we did it, if going further afield look at Rocher de Naye that is better. Public transport easy and reliable so...More

It takes about 30 min by car to get up to the Saleve, but it is definitely worth it. You have a fantastic view on Geneva and the lake. A small restaurant is on top of it, very simple but absolutely ok. Go and sit...More

A must do when you’re in town. A simple bus ride from the centre of town gets you to a cable car which climbs to the top of the mountain. There plenty of space at the top with parks and a restaurant to eat while...More

Highly recommend for families -- easy to navigate via public transportation and then cable car (large!) up the side. The best find was puppy who lives at the Tibetan Buddist temple on top . There is a nice sit down restaurant and a snack/souvenir shop...More

The nearest mountain you get get to would probably be Mont Saleve. I'm not sure if there would be a lot of snow at this time of the year, but you can double check in advance of your trip on the mountain forecast webpage.

No that is not part of the Geneva pass, but the #8 bus is.

Hi, I believe it is an additional charge because it is in France. The fee is small and well worth it. Purchase the return fare if you plan on riding it down vs. hiking down. Enjoy!
