We arrived early to beat the queues (they can be quite long!) and had to pass through quite strict security (as you would expect). It was well worth it to see a little bit of the organisation that impacts lives across the globe. Our German...More

Lack of information on the website, and poor public transport access caused us to turn up at exactly 12.00 for a 12.00 tour. However upon arrival we were dismissively informed that visitors have to be 15 minutes early - nothing about this is mentioned online

Even if you don't have extensive knowledge on the structure and work of the UN, you should be aware that it has two main 'capitals' - New York and Geneva. The UNOG is the heart of the UN Human Rights work - and it is...More

Palais des Nations is worth a visit. It’s a bit of a climb up the hill or just get a local taxi. It’s the furthest entrance at the top of the hill. Remember to bring your passport if you plan on doing the tour.

I joined guided tour in United Nations. You don't need any reservation, just go to the entrance around at 10:00am on weekdays. Keep in your mind that you're required to show you ID and no carry bag is allowed to bring inside. The tour is...More

We went to take a guided tour and were amazed. It’s impressive and breathtaking. Even though everyone knows what the UNO is, the details about what it means for the world as such were very enlightening.

This was quite an experience but the grounds are beautiful and the building very magnificent. You can take a guided tour but did not so I can't comment on that. Had a tour of the library which was so amazing.

It depends a bit on how many tourists turn up on the day, but in my experience it wasn't hard to get on one. 3 of us arrived around half an hour before the first tour and got in fine - it seemed to run more frequently than... More
