The beautiful Cathedral is definitely worth visiting with a nice square in front and a lovely park to the side. The interior is stunning but get yourself up those steps for that view, well worth the small amount it costs.

Interesting stained glass, and a modern aeolian organ. Plenty of choice in the shop, The Münster Christmas market was a step in quality above the general market in the town, more hand craft work.

This red sandstone cathedral is awesome (in the old and new sense) - the sculpted pulpit is a work of art, the medieval tombstones of local knights very evocative - the armour and even the swords are carved in precise details

No admission charge as far as we could see. Photography is not allowed but I didn't see the sign until on the way out. A fairly average cathedral to be honest but worth a visit.

At first we thought the $30 per person was a bit steep for the tour, but after two hours and several complimentary glasses of wine, it turned out to be well worth it. Mary, the Tower Keeper, lead the guided tour of the church from...More

The church itself is good to see from outside. The interiors are average compared to some of the other churches in Europe. However, a walk up the stairs to the church tower offers amazing view of the city.

Sorry but I don't know the hours and we decided not to go to the top as we wanted to see more of the city. It's absolutely a must-do if you're touring Bern. I'd check with a concierge at a hotel in the city. They'll know... More
