As it was 4 o’clock and the museum closed at 5pm we only visited the small exhibition about the Carnival. Most appropriate as the whole city was getting ready for this annual event. Only 30 minutes needed to go around including a very informative video....More

This is fantastic museum with an astonishing collection from many many cultures, beautifully set up and informative. The building itself is just beautiful. There's a good little shop too.

Many specials exhibitions; so it may be more or less interesting at different times. However the theme when we were there was that all mankind has migrated and we benefit from that. Also a wonderful collection from Papua New Guinea.

As part of the museums night (pay one entrance fee and access that night almost all museums of Baesl) I went to explore this place. Its much bigger then I thought. So plan at least 1-2 hours for your visit. Its nice to see art...More

This museum is in the corner just of Munsterplatz, and has a great mixture of displays from masks to modern bottle walls inside a fabulous building, the outside of the building is worth the visit alone

Some interesting artefacts in this museum, but too many of the same thing in some instances. Information sheets on each floor which are very useful, if a little wordy.

This is one of these museums with very diverse expositions: cultural objects from various peoples, modern and antique, common and strange looking. There is for example a huge Native American wigwam which can be observed from different floors. The place is a bit weird and...More

Nice way to pass an hour. The staff were very nice & helpful on each floor - the gentlemen had a lot of knowledge. The English translation books were a brilliant accompaniment. They do enforce that you leave your handbag in the locker though.

Was expecting a lot more, in this museum town. Some interesting exhibits but overall mediocre. Clean, clear, clutter free arrangements. They had an exhibition on 'recycling', but no recycling facilities at the venue; a bit ironic isn't it. If you are in a rush, I...More
