We visited the city in springtime, a sunny saturday with a lot of people walking around. Basel is not so touristic as other swiss cities, but was a good surprise.

Seems every thing is closed on Sunday. A handful of people walked about but nothing was open. Mostly chain stores you can find in any big city.

There always seems more in this street than turns out to be the case. There are a few nice eateries, some shops and a cinema, but I always end up eating back in Barfuzerplats or somewhere nearby,
