If you have money to spend, this is the place to go, although there are not that much options of famous and expensive brands. This is a pedestrian area, so you can shop or window-shop in a relaxed atmosphere. At the time of our visit,...More

This is the street you want to visit for shopping or sightseeing, and it is fine if you are in Basel, but it doesn't compare to similar streets in other European cities.

While walking through old basel this is a great location for window shopping all the local and upscale stores. Slightly uphill walking at points this area is great for admiring the old swiss building and historical sights while finding local, pastry bakeries offering delightful sweets.

This is just a boring shopping venue. Mostly big, well known department stores. Nothing special. A couple of expensive shops among the others.
