I'm not a fan of churches but we were impressed with the outside decoration of the Munster so ventured in. A very impressive place with the most stunning, vibrant and detailed stained glass I have ever seen. Well worth a visit and it's free.

Great to visit especially for the view from one of the towers (5,- p.p.) although the climb up can be a bit challenging (spiral staircase and wooden stairs). Be careful: you will walk near the bells so esp. at the hour could be very noisy. The church itself is nice, although some parts inside are a bit of a building... More

After about 25 years of walking past it, decided to visit on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Was pleasantly surprised that on the inside one could actually say it is quite simple in its makeup. Nice architecture, one can see the Italian influence. Great stained glass windows. Unfortunately could not go up in the tower, it now requires a group of... More

Climbing the tower at this lovely church is fun and provides excellent views of the city. It's five francs for access to the tower and well worth it!

It was a walk with a friend from Portugal from Kunstmuseum to Münsterplatz and then Pfalz. This walk is definitely something that all visitors of Basel should do. From Pfalz you get the best overview over the river and the city.

A real experience looking around at the stain glass windows, great view from the top of the tower, free to walk around and sit for a while, very relaxing and can take pictures too.

Beautiful area awesome to visit, the most impressive is how huge all of the doorways are. Inside it is not huge but it is beautiful and ornate.

What a beautiful old church right on the banks of the Rhine. Could not have found a better spot to start exploring the old town.

The church itself is lovely. It has different tombs in it. The stained glass windows are beautiful.and well worth a visit. We did go up to the tower and got as far as this gigantic bell. One needs to be fit and thin to get to the top as the stairs are very narrow! When we got to the top... More
